Tom began his training as a chorister at St John’s College Cambridge and went on to study composition and conducting at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2008 he was one of the winners of the BBC Proms Young Composers Competition and was commissioned to write a piece for the 2009 Proms season.
